Merry Little Christmas Party Day 4

 Welcome to Day 4!

I hope you are all having a Holly Jolly Time!

Only 2 Days left to PARTY!

The Winner of Day 3 is... LANA RICHEY

Congratulations! Please email us your mailing address ASAP!

We have some festive and merry deals that we are so excited to share with you today!

Our Recipe today is a family favorite, and a special Christmas Tradition here at the Cottonwood House.

Every Christmas Morning our 8 children, (and now their children!) line up Youngest to Oldest, and one by one walk into the living room to see what Santa has brought them! Each squeal makes our kids, (that are patiently waiting their turn) more and more anxious to see what their siblings received, and to see what is waiting for them!

As wrapping paper is thrown every which way, the aroma of Christmas Breakfast Cake fills our home! Our children always count down the minutes until this delicious cake is done baking.

Each Child opens their presents individually, to make the joy and excitement of Christmas morning last just a little longer!

Finally when the presents are unwrapped, the colorful wrapping paper and shiny bows are thrown away, (and my husband and I are ready for a nap!) its time for breakfast!

So without Further Ado...

  10. Your story is wonderful. We have 3 daughters. On Christmas morning when they were young they were allowed to come down the stairs and look, they were not allowed to get off the stairs and inspect the tree for Santa's gifts. They had to patiently wait till everyone was up before looking at their presents. As they got older Santa had to become more resourceful about stashing them in among the wrapped gifts so they couldn't be seen. Our Christmas morning breakfast was and still is homemade cinnamon rolls. Richard's grandmother taught me to make them 46 yrs ago. If she only knew that now three of her great grandaughters can make them and now at Christmas time her great great grandson (a senior in college) helps me make them. This Christmas he and his mother will be doing all of it because I was just released from hospital after having back surgery. Thank you again for all the wonderful memories.
